According to a recent study (can’t remember which one, but I swear I read this) people who are regulars at small, neighborhood-type bars — a.k.a. Norm on Cheers — have more satisfaction, more friends and they are happier in their lives than those who don’t. And, not to worry, going to the bar frequently does not equate to binge drinking either, as patrons of said establishments are less inclined to do so.Neighborhood bar

A big component of the study dealt with the value of being out and having interaction with others as compared to living one’s life on the Internet.

While we’re being scientific and delving into studies performed by serious people regarding serious shit, there’s good news for coffee drinkers. According to a the findings of a new study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association, caffeine does not cause heartbeat irregularities.

So head to Starbuck’s today for that second or third cup of Joe and don’t forget to tip your barista.

Is it just me, or am I the only person who would love to have a tail? Think about the myriad of emotions one could express with said appendage.

Monday night on “Jimmy KImmel Live” actress Kate Winslett answered the question to which I’ve long awaited an answer: Why didn’t her Titanic character, Rose, make room on her plank so Jack could have avoided freezing in the icy Atlantic waters? Winslett replied, “I think he could have fit on that bit of piano.”

Finally a question. If you’re just arriving home, what song on the radio will make you stay in your car until the end?
