TOYS AND GAMES: Bugs, Burgers and Beatles Walk-Up Music

Bugs Bunny celebrated his 75th birthday this week.

My favorite cartoon character was introduced in “A Wild Hare.” Elmer Fudd was also featured in this short that lasted approximately eight minutes. Shortly after the lisping Fudd lets us know he is hunting “wabbits” we hear for the first time, “What’s up, Doc?”What’s Up Doc

Bugs is the man. He’s likely the greatest baseball player I’ve seen, too. I’d say he’s 10 to 15 percent better than Mr. Ed.

Fast Company magazine recently sought to crown the best burger in the country and Whataburger came away the winner.

The website for the tech business magazine held a tournament of 32 regional and national burger chains and asked its readers to name the best burger in America. The Final Four: Five Guys, Whataburger, Culver’s and In-N-Out burger.

That’s a strong field.

John Jaso’s walk-up music is “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.” As far as walk-up music goes, going with the Beatles is old school. Did you ever think you’d hear anybody refer to anything concerning the Beatles as old school?
