TOYS AND GAMES: Monday Mixed Bag

Since I referenced Ned Beatty and his whitey tighties in a recent blog, I feel obligated to remind all that Beatty’s role as Bobby Trippe in the 1972 classic, Deliverence, was his first. Talk about an interesting way to burst onto the scene.

Pitt Panther kicker Chris Blewitt has perhaps the most unfortunate name in college football. But not to worry, he’s been getting the job done this season.

Three weeks ago the junior from Alexandria, Virginia drilled a 56-yard field goal with less than 2 minutes to go to beat Georgia Tech. His encore came a week later when he hit a game-winning 25-yard field goal on the final play against Syracuse.
