TOYS AND GAMES: Oh, To Be Young and In Love
At a cocktail party last night, Patti and I were standing in a group that included a young couple that has been married less than two years. The woman asked her husband if he knew their anniversary, which he proudly repeated. A friend of ours, who has been married 15 years, couldn’t resist when he said: “That’s nice. In five years, she won’t know your name.”
Trivia time. Did you know Wilma Flintstone’s middle name was “Slaghoopal’’? Furthermore, Eunice was the first name of Mrs. Howell from Gilligan’s Island, Betty Rubble’s maiden name was McBrickler and “U.N.C.L.E.’’ stood for “United Network Command for Law and Enforcement” on The Man From U.N.C.L.E.?
And, from the Internet: A man is pictured on his knees praying accompanied by the following words: Please Lord, let me prove to you that winning the lottery won’t change me.
